WHO WE ARE
Delta Of Hope International is a compassionate non-profit organization whose main goal is to give hope by helping people who live in extreme poverty through community supportive programs. Our focus is on the orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), women and girls, the youth, and generally the poor and marginalized population. We practically share love with all people regardless of their race, gender, religious beliefs, cultural or ethnic background.

Our goal is to give hope by improving the quality of life through practical initiatives for people who live under the bondage of poverty. We understand that poverty causes so much pain and suffering, kills dreams and deprives people dignity. Our strategy is to deal with the root course of poverty.
Our Areas of Focus
Education Support to Orphans and Needy Children
This is through establishing schools and sponsor orphans and children who come from extremely poor family backgrounds (OVC). We help them by providing school uniforms, stationery, and pay tuition fees. We also provide feeding program to pupils in primary schools located in slums and marginalized communities.
Socio Economic Empowerment Programs to Poor Women
This is a poverty alleviation program for the poorest members of marginalized communities. We seek to provide training in tailoring and dress making for poor women and girls, and Information Communication Technology (ICT) for the youth. We further provide a start-up capital for women who successfully complete their training.
Healthcare Services Programs
To build Clinics and hospital and provide treatment of sickness and diseases to communities living in abject poverty and cut-off from accessing healthcare services. These people live in slums and marginalized remote villages. We believe life is sacred, and a healthy community will be able to work and come out of the shackles of poverty to live a dignified life.
Evangelism and Outreach Programs
To evangelize and set up churches. Our hearts are out to connect the lost with their maker. God sees and understand the pain and suffering of His people. He provides to all their needs. He has good plans for every one of us. He said to Moses that I have seen the suffering of my people and heard their cry, now I have come down to save them.
Our Current Programs
(1) Schools Feeding Program
We provide feeding program to school going children in slums. Many children who live in poverty-stricken communities do not go to school and learn because of hunger and starvation. Unfortunately, this continues to breed ignorance and poverty that causes pain and suffering among families. This feeding program has witnessed a tremendous increase in school attendance and improved academic performance.
(2) We Share the Word
We share the message of hope. These children need hope! They go through so many problems and therefore need to know that God loves them and cares about their everyday life. He has a good plan for them like everyone else. We meet at least once a week to worship God through songs, pray together and hear the message of the Word.
(3) Provide School Uniforms
We buy school uniforms and shoes for the needy children. Most of them attend school in torn shoes and old, tattered school uniforms. Others opt to use their home-made clothes because their parents can’t afford school uniforms. This has helped to boost self confidence that translates to academic performance.
(4) Provide Stationery
We help to purchase stationery for most of these children. A big number of them come to school without writing books and pens. This is because their parents cannot afford them. It therefore becomes difficult for them to learn. Now, with the support of our partners and donors, we provide stationery that help them continue with their education.
(5) School Tuition Fee Support
We provide school tuition fees support to orphans and children who live in abject poverty. This is only for those who are enrolled in Delta Of Hope International schools. The support may continue through high school to bright students who shows excellent performance in his or her academic and good character. However, this is dependent on availability of funds for the program.
(6) Mentorship Programs
Many children who are born and grew up in poor slums and marginalized communities lack exposure and basic life skills. We therefore organize for mentorship programs where we invite professional speakers to mentor them. They teach on various topics to help them in personal leadership development skills. Our objective is to help them grow up as responsible persons and make the right choices in life.

Our Plan for People Living in Poverty, Africa
Build a Modern School for Poor Children Living in Mukuru Slums, kenya(africa)
We are raising funds to build a modern primary school equipped with learning resources for children who live in Mukuru slums. The challenges they face every day at home and in school makes it difficult for most of them to succeed in education and eventually in life. This ranges from hunger and starvation, lack of stationery, school uniforms, lack of learning resources at school, lack of clean water, electricity, poor sanitation, insecurity, and the list seams endless. Although we have some public schools in this slum, they are very few for a large population of people who lives in this community. The private schools set up by individuals to bridge the gap do not have resources and capacity to run the schools. Most of them do not have proper classrooms, not enough space, no libraries etc.
Build Clinic and Church in a poor remote Village, kenya (africa)
A family from Kisii County in Kenya donated a piece of land worth over ten thousand dollars to Delta Of Hope International. This land is located in a poor remote village about 350 miles away from the capital city of Nairobi, Kenya. The village and its neighbouring communities has a population of about 200,000 people. When we visited the village to receive the property, they requested us to prioritize building them a hospital and church for the villagers. They explained to us how they suffer because of sickness and diseases since the hospital is very far away. The nearest one is over 3 hours away drive.
Build School and Church for community living in remote village, kenya(africa)
A pastor and his family donated a piece of land to Delta Of Hope International in this remote village at a place called Kakamega, Kenya. The property is located about 420 miles from the capital city of Nairobi, Kenya. Their request is to build them a spiritual church and a school for orphans and needy children living in this community. They also promised to give more land to build a Clinic for the locals.
Set-up a Community Resource Centre for families living in poverty: Mukuru Slums, Kenya (africa)
We are raising funds to set-up a community training and socio-economic empowerment center in Mukuru slums—a poverty-stricken community, Kenya. Families that live in this informal settlement faces a myriad of poverty related challenges. They range from hunger and starvation, lack of clean water, poor sanitation, poor housing, lack of electricity, insecurity and the list seems endless. It’s heartbreaking that children who live here go for days without eating any food. Delta Of Hope International has an elaborate program on poverty alleviation to help this community and give them hope. Our plan is to set up a resources center that will provide basic training programs for economic empowerment in two areas: (1) Training in tailoring and dress making for widows, poor women, and girls in the community, and (2) Training in Information Communication Technology (ICT) for the youth.
